1 Double the line and then on a flat surface arrange the doubled line into this shape. Next take the right hand loop over the main lines as shown in step 2.

POSSIBLE USES?

• A strong, sturdy knot to hang food or gear.

• A decorative knot to hang various objects.

2 Keep the first loop, that has just been taken over the main lines, firmly in position. Now bring the second loop down over the first loop as shown in step 3.

3 Pass the second loop down through the double loop. At this point try and keep the knot shape as shown in the illustration.
